Toes in the sand

We love going to the beach!

Rain or shine!

We don't dip our toes in the water.....

It's Oregon.

The water is too cold!

But taking our boots off and wiggling our toes in the sand is soothing for the soul.  

We spent a couple hours driving out yesterday.  When we got there it was windy, cold and sprinkling.  While descending the stairs down to the sand the sky brightened up and it dried up!  It was a great Oregon coast day (any day that's not pouring down rain is great!).  

We scavenged and dug and ran through the sand.  

We stood still staring in awe of the enormous plunging waves.  

We took deep cleansing breathes of the salty air.  

And then Lola laid in the sand and made 'sand angels'

Oh how sweet to be little and not think of the impact of her actions.  

When was the last time you had your toes in the sand?  Or laid down and made a 'sand angel'?
