Borax Snowflakes

Dec 7 2016 | By: Modern Visuals

We posted a photo of our pretty snowflakes and had some requests for the recipe so here it is!

Shape some pipe cleaners into snowflakes then tie to a string hung on a pencil.  Boil some water and mix about 3 tablespoons of borax per 1 cup of water.  It takes a lot of stirring to get it mixed well.  Add in some food color and stir.  We used quart jars to pour the solution into and hang the pipe cleaners in.  Push these into a spot they will not be disturbed over night.

If you don't know what Borax is you can find it in a box by the laundry detergents.

We would love to see a photo of your snowflakes!  Find us on Facebook or Instagram
